About the project
Over the course of summer 2023, the Museum of the Home hosted free, drop-in Build & Play sessions, which we developed and delivered at the museum. In partnership with a local primary school, we ran a series of workshops using modular cardboard pieces to come up with the design for a Mini Home of the Future. We then scaled their ideas up to a full-sized model which sat in the lobby and was free to use.
The mini home was open to young people to come and play in, and its modular adaptable nature meant that young designers could come along and put their own spin on it! We were blown away by the creativity on display, and were delighted to deliver a family day in August where we got to see the mini home in action.
