About the project
We were thrilled to take part in the 2025 edition of the London Festival of Architecture in collaboration with our friends, playground specialists Timberplay. When coming up with the plans for our joint ‘Picnic and Play’ event, there was no better venue for this exciting and fun-filled build than the newly completed National Temperance Hospital Garden, featuring our very own Reflect pavilion.
Designers and young people worked side by side to explore how dynamic and kinetic play can be incorporated into design, including timber building, den-making and wet play. In-keeping with the festival’s theme of 2025, ‘Voices’, we encouraged the voices and ideas of people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and play, resulting in an explosion of colour, creativity and cardboard!
